Apple announced their UK and Germany iPhone's this week. France will be next. Here is a quote from the Telegraph newspaper:
"Apple is expected to award a German iPhone distribution deal to Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile and a French deal to France Telecom's Orange later this week.
Asked to respond to talk that he had angered European mobile networks by playing them off against each other before picking partners Mr Jobs said: "It's kind of like getting married. We dated a few people but didn't get married to them. I guess there are a few upset girlfriends out there.""
Steve Jobs is awesome!

Cool. This company has a laser engraver that can etch anything into hard organic foods. The peanuts are business cards!

A great quote from Lou Piniella (Cubs Manager) responding to a reporter asking if he is trying to grow a beard:
------------------
Also still to be determined is Piniella's beard.
"I just haven't shaved -- nothing more, nothing less," he said. "I'm not trying to make any statements or even grow a beard. It just hasn't itched yet.
"What I need is 'Just for Men' to get it darker," he said.

Super cool idea from Heatherwick studio out of London. I would love to see this in person. I'll be sure to keep my fingers clear while it's closing.

Vibram is a company best know for it's sole, like the bottom of your shoes. It's not really rubber, but it looks and acts like rubber and is more versatile. They have previously put their sole on other peoples shoes, but now they have now come up with a genius idea to wrap their outsole around your bare foot. Introducing, FiveFingers by Vibram:

The idea here is to allow barefooters to have some protection for their feet. I would guess that it feels like you are barefoot, and that's the idea. Their website has lots of great pictures and ideas for some barefooting sports like barefoot running and yoga.
Slightly weird, but ultimately cool!
